It's just a more subtle shade of orange. I think it kinda merges each post into each other which is confusing me a bit but I guess I'll get used to it.

Although the software and database migration has been completed and you are free to use the new board, the server is working hard in the background reindexing the search tables so performance may not be as speedy as usual for the next few hours. During this period of reindexing searching will return incomplete results.

The change is positive, I had seen the look of this before anyway, as when they relaunched phpBBs site it was with the new software. It's different but it's good, it will always take time to get used to.

i must admit that the new look hasn't bowled me over im not keen on the names being on the right instead of the left. but in all fairness its you can tell you've worked hard on it,well done sir

I very much like that when you go into a thread on the wrong page (i.e., you've read all of that page earlier and the new posts are on another page) when you then load the correct page, the relevant posts are still shown as new.

Can I ask admin why they use phpbb and not invision? Is it a license / cost thing?

What benefits are there from using invision (for which I believe a free version does exist) instead of phpBB?

Personally I prefer Invision because of the amount of configuration you can do, though I know some people see it as overkill.
