Mr Ladbroke there is a difference between typing so fast you miss a letter and using bad grammar. Typo's are annoying but generally accepted, basic grammatical errors are not excusable.

You know what, I use it sometimes, but only with words like 'coz'...I'm to lazy to type the whole word out, but I don't use it in..CVs and stuff, just things that aren't that...formal. Like forums and MSN.

What about medical conditions, a deprived childhood, the fact you were abused physically so missed the grammar teaching part of school, or just perhaps it is not that important, and there are more important things to "excuse" rather than saying of and not have.............

Especially when it's directed at a new forum member who was making some lively and fun contributions, and instead of having a decent chat we end up ahh well I suppose really it's rather "on track" for this thread then...

...and "lol" is used more as a filler when I can't think of what to say or to show that something said is to be taken humorously because it's hard to tell humour and sarcasm and serious points over msn.

That's odd, because the only times I have ever used 'lol' in a conversation (without quoting) is to be sarcastic.
