The Streets are dire in general... the "dry your eyes mate" was truly horrific.

I like the Streets but this cover was pure rubbish; i expected a little more Streets style to it not a bad karoake version

I can't stand the Streets, but initially I quite liked it - the lovely melodic instrumental alongside that off key whiney voice sort of worked - but towards the end, it just sounded like he was taking the piss, which changed my mind completely. I don't think Radio 1 asked him to cover a song in order to point fingers and snigger at anyone.

Just remembered that I played pool with a satanist last night. Really should go out on a Friday more often.

Had a good night last night. We lost the pub quiz but had my hair plaited by a viking.

Wouldn't of expected to hear the streets covering this song TBH, especially in this appalling karaoke style.

Listening to Jo Whiley earlier, she played Firestarter, now I think the streets could've done a half decent job with that.

I can't decide if I like it or not, but I think I would soon dislike it if I heard it more (I have only heard it twice). I think what I kinda like about it is that it sounds like someones boyfriend at a Karaoke bar doing a reasonable job.

I think I will stick to the Elton version.
