Foots, your grammar makes my brain bleed.

as much as I admire the way your brain is wired, I think it's wired wrong.

It's wrongly.

Don't you people understand adverbs?! :(

I don't understand the "speak ill of the dead" thing. If they were a bastard, they were a bastard and being dead doesn't change that.

I shouldn't say this, but from what I've heard about Ike (and a movie I once saw re. him & Tina), I'm not sorry he's dead. In fact, I'm glad.

lennon left his wife and kid, which aint ever cool.

ike was a self-admitted wife beater, but he was an amazing musician who helped create rock and roll.

I don't think that makes up for anything. Ike wasn't necessary to the creation of a genre any more than any other individual was, being good at something else doesn't excuse what he was.

As for Lennon - his blatant neglect of Julian whilst publically doting on Sean (and having endless photo-shoots to prove it) lost him my respect before he was killed. But I was sorry he went like that, obviously.

I was obliquely referring to the stories about Lennon hitting Cynthia when they were together which she refers to in her book.

I wasn't aware of that until after his death, but it would have had a similar effect on me if I'd known about it earlier.

Actually, dunno why I brought it up - was in an argumentative mood at the time.
