Ah yes.. they do seem to be a bit overly 'UM'-like in their posting.


I don't think UM is as bad as that, just because it's different to here doesn't mean the members are morons (I know a couple of people who are members there so I have to be careful!). But the facebook thing does seem to be happy to cater for the lowest common denominator, which is fair enough, someone has to. I don't think the people who regularly visit and post here would see the Facebook forums as an alternative somehow.

Either way though, it looks to me like there's plenty of room for both of us. I'm sure if Scott did a similar thing with Facebook it wouldn't have an adverse effect on UM, would it?

Yes I agree. But then you don't have someone like Aled on the team on Scott's show would be geekily checking it all the time, haha.

I don't think it's fair to say UM is the same as the posting quality of the facebook fan page. Sure it's not the same as the quality of grammar and posting on here, but it's not the same as the R1 message board/fan pages.
