I agree Muse should have won best live act. You have to say though, when all is said and done, any of the awards voted for by listeners of a particular network are going to be biased, including the Radio 1 one. It's not a fair representation of opinion. Having said that, a load of music executives sitting in a smokey room probably wouldn't be able to come up with a fair representation of opinion either.

Didnt think it was too bad last night. Mike and Beth Ditto i thought was ok, but not when Mika decided to start singing Standing In The Way Of Control. Rihanna and Klaxons i thought was good, after the shaky start. The lasers was brilliant i thought. Moyles was quite funny but the crowd just didnt respond. Arctic Monkeys were a joke, but fair play to the lead singer for trying to make a half decent speech. Vic Reeves was a total embarrassment and fair play to Sharon for kicking off. Apparantly he had to be escorted off stage.

How or why Kylie won i dont know. She did nothing last year!

Ok... the ballbag summary.

Me and Mrs B sat down, with a bottle of white and a log fire.... snuggled up under a blanket and watched away..... my thoughts are thus.

Mika and Beth Ditto was amazing, an excellent start to the show... although I didn't realise she was American.

Moyles as always looked like a rabbit in the headlights, why he keeps accepting TV offers I will never know, and he was very un-funny indeed...... uncomfortable viewing.

Ozzy pretty much knew how to get the crowd shouting but did little else.

Sharon was an absolute mess, fluffing her lines left right and centre, her daughter wasn't much better. And did she not realise she still had a mic in her hand when she was ranting at Vic Reeves... whom I thought was quite funny. Absolutely cringe worthy she was.

Jack just seemed embarrassed by the whole affair.

Klaxons/Rhianna was visually good, but not great sounding.

Kylie was great.... Kaisers were crap.... Leona Lewis was nice to listen to.....Whinehouse looked a mess, and sounded flat... and why should we big up her husband... he's in jail.. he's a bad egg. You don't go bigging up Myra Hindley do you?

Take That deserve all they get, they seem the nicest people in pop, and are genuinely appreciative of the praise they receive.

Adele??? Blummin-eck. If ever there was an ungrateful recipient of an aware there she was. Blatantly groomed for the big time from a young age... she couldn't give a shit, and has the most annoying accent ever. Conversely, Kate Nash (from the same background) was very grateful, and came across nice and likable. Mark Ronson seemed nice too.

Arctic Monkeys = Pretentious twats.

McCartney was brilliant, although he's looking his age now.

Another generally mixed evening..... some good bits, but some really really bad bits.
