Haha, touché, but it's meant as an ellipsis; I know usually that's three dots, but I don't want the pause to be as long as I would if I used three.

Hah, just seen my mistake. Rob Da Bank played a happy hardcore track on monday, from 1996, which rips the vocals of Chicago - Hard to say i'm sorry (I've got used to calling it 'Hold me now') - The track being DJ Kaos - Hold Me Now

I'm still undecided about Break-Core, it's not really my thing. It's effectivley gabba with hints of jungle in it, humans and their stupid sub-genres.

I do like Shitmatts stuff though, but that's more a pissatke than anything else.

Haha, i'll try and explain.

Break-Core & Gabba is basically dutch rave music, very hard and dark with massive disortion, and generally as noisy as possible.

Whereas the british rave scene progressed into Happy Hardcore/Bouncy Techno/Jungle/Drum & Bass, the dutch went alot harder and darker

Depends what you're after mate, The first CD i will tell you to buy is 'Hardcore Adrenaline 3', mixed by Stu Allen & Seduction, but that's me being totally biased because my record is on the Seduction CD

If you want a more 'commercial' sounding album, go for Clubland Extreme hardcore 4, mixed by Styles, Breeze & Hixxy.

If you want a massive mix of tougher, uplifting and breakbeat hardcore, go for Hardcore Underground 2.

Or, there's a new Austrailain CD out with some amazing tracks on, which you can order online, called Ultimate Hardcore 3 : Mixed by Suae, Al Strom & Neophyte.

That sounds utterly horrendous haha, thankfully i have managed to avoid that. I'd bet my mortgage (if i had one) on it being made by either Kaos or Stompy.

I find alot of those 'sub' genres pointless to be honest, people have to seperate themselves from others so they have something to call their own, it's all just hardcore to me.

Just look at Drum and Bass, you have Liquid, Jump Up, Trance & Bass etc, it's all just DnB.

I dunno, I like genre names because they concisely sum up the sound. I do see a difference between Liquid and Trance & Bass - it's good to be able to neatly distinguish the two.
Personally I'm probably more into Toystep at the moment

It's dance/band type stuff that uses old childrens toys as some of the instruments. It tends to be loud and shouty but all in good humor.
