Listener figures.

This increase in listeners of 750k on 2007.

How much of this is due to the extra half hour of the show?

Is it in any way adjusted, or is this a "fudge"

Just wondered as Wogan gets his listeners in a much shorter period.

I know this is not "Ask Andy" - but to the best of my knowledge it's the number of unique individuals (over 16) who tune in for at least 15 minutes of the show. If they tune out and then tune back in again later they are still counted as one person. So while Chris DOES have more time for people to listen, a large proportion of his audience cannot be counted by RAJAR figures as they are under 16. The figures are available on RAJAR's website for any and all to look at.

If you have 30 minutes extra you will without trying gain more listeners. Conversely Gregg's show will "rate" less listeners. As this half hour slot was no doubt the highest listening number for that show, could it not be argued that by Chris doing an extra half hour he is in essesnce (sp) nicking the cream off of the previous show.

Yes, the target was 500,000 - it only hit 400,000 on the 6th of May.

Currently at stands 420,000+

The page is going well. If it has managed to gain 20,000 people in 4 days it's well on course to manage 500,000 in the next few weeks possibly month.
