This is the 2nd topic on this subject, but it needs a bit of a push.

A researcher, Amy ([email protected]) still needs more people to take part in research to be fed back to the BBC.

All you need to do is e-mail her with contact details (i.e. 'phone no.), and she will ask you questions, including:-

1. How often do you visit moyles.net?

2. What have you learned about Chris from this Site?

3. What do you think of R1's website?

4. What don't you like about Chris' show?

5. What kind of T.V. programmes do you like to hear being discussed on the show?

It only takes approx. 15 minutes. I've already taken part, and Amy is nice, methodical and quickly speeds through the questions. You don't have to answer anything you do not wish to, and can remain anonymous.

Can you help, please? Guests too, who like to read the Boards? How about you?

We're very lucky to have Boards, and other on-line content, thanks to the existence of R1, so it's YOUR chance to give something back. If you've time to read this, you have time to take part in research!!

Absolutely. And I still haven't seen or heard of anything which indicates to me that this person is on the level - where are her credentials? Where is her BBC authorisation to be carrying out this work on their behalf as she claims? She could be anybody.

Yes you're right, those weirdo's who want to ask you about what you enjoy looking at on the net, to try and improve future content, and understand what sort of people like the boards and the the web sites and the show, really freaky if you ask me.

It's like those daft people who come up to you in eating houses ( can't spell restaurant) and ask you how your food is !!! The absolute crass insensitivity of them, they could be like trying to do anything with the information, they might even tell the rest of the team how you were feeling ! Oh I feel dirty just thinking about it.

I'm not saying that it isn't genuine. I would prefer to have that demonstrated to me though, rather than assume that Chris Harris has all the information so it must be ok.

Assuming for a moment however that it was a scam of some sort - of course, scams always label themselves dont they. They never attempt to cover up their true intent by pretending to ask innocuous questions which you wouldn't think twice about in order to obtain the information they really want, like your identity, contact details, stuff like that. It never happens.

Now there's a phrase I have never understood. Why would it take one to know one? In this context, I think it makes the least sense. If I'm calling you strange, then that means that your personality, personal traits etc. differ significantly from the norm, and as I, by default, consider myself to be the norm, then I wouldn't consider myself strange (therefore I wouldn't be one, to know one). Still, I suppose everyone is strange in one way or another, although if everyone is strange, then that would make everyone the same, which is strange.

Still, I am strange, or at least different, and it's not necessarily a bad thing...except in Viv's case.
