I shall not, thank you very much. I wouldn't miss the oppurtunity of gaining an extra hours sleep.

I normally don't put my clocks back until the Sunday night. That way, I save an extra hour for sleep before school, rather than before another lazy Sunday.

Ah I changed it right there in the middle of watching a film, cos the film was really like half an hour long, because of the change, baffling until I realised.

I was on the ferry - so the whole trip lasted an extra hour.

wouldn't it be an hour less if the clocks went back?
By David

no - the boat got in at seven... the clocks went back at two to one again, extra hour.

How about it'd neither be more or less, the boat trip would be exactly the same length.

To indulge you though, it would take less 'clock time' rather than more. You are living the same hour twice therfore a 4 hour trip would only take 3 hours 'clock time'

ok - the length was the same, the boat just went slower.

Please don't confuse me :P

That must have confused the poor Captain, just had to go an ickle slower. How was your peerie trip then? Hey but really the trip did take an hour extra in timing, just not in clock time, and thats pretty baffling.

The trip was great. On the way down we mate my mate Phil from Radio Shetland and he was with his friends who were really really drunk yet really really funny. It was one of the funniest nights I have ever had.

That's why last night was my favourite night of the year: it's always an hour longer than every other night of the year. - jc

It's a shame they don't put the clocks back a bit earlier - they could do it just before last orders and everyone could get an extra hours drinking time!

That's not a bad idea. I always get confused when I go clubbing though, does the club shut at the first 2am or the second one?

I don't think it actually goes 02:00:00 - I think it goes 01:59:59 then it goes back to 01:00:00 in which case the club should close an hour later - but then again I am not too sure!

I'm sure that last time I went clubbing when the clocks changed I was in leicester and the clocks went forward an hour. I was a bit concerned that the club might shut an hour early, but I don't think it did.

they probably just go by GMT +1 the whole night just as not to confuse people... most people will probably forget anyway - especially if they are drunk.

What clubs do you frequent in Leicester? Please don't say Krystals...

Krystals is no longer Krystals, in fact it's changed it's name twice since then. It became 'Kudos' and is now called 'Creation'. I've been in there a few times and I don't really like it, but I have to go along with my brother and his mate 'Malcom the Megastar' who do like it. I sometimes go to Zanzibar with them as well. If I'm out with my mate Paul, then we normally go to the fan club, which I really like.
