Shouldn't that be times eight million listeners? Also, I think they're only on 44 weeks in the year, and there's not five days in each of those. You also missed out the podcasts and other downloadable material - you're equation should be far contain far more variables than it currently does.

If, as I think, the point was that neilt0 thinks that Moyles is worth the money - well, in market terms I agree. The amount seems ridiculous but looking at it in the context of his peers I think he's a bargain.

I think Moyles is worth whatever they pay him. Someone is always bound to have a good moan about the wages of the stars. They're hardly going to stay about for the Channel if you reduce their pay to the minimum wage.

That's a ridiculous statement - I agree he's worth what they are paying him, but you seem to be implying there should be no upper limit for him, which would be wrong for anyone.

Seconded. It's similar to footballers really, the amounts of money involved are crazy, but it's the going rate. At least you know that Moyles would still be doing the same job even if the going rate was 5% of what he is on currently. He genuinely loves the job in my opinion, as he has said many times. In his books he's said he spent plenty of time on terrible money doing local radio, and if you're the best in any field you'll always earn well.
