Interesting to hear that Jo Whiley is an ambassador for Mencap (www.mencap.org.uk). Mencap is the leading charity for people with learning disabilities!

According to an interview done with "Glamour" magazine, whose title I have stolen for this topic (!!), Jo has said her proudest moment of the year is organising the "Little Noise Sessions" in aid of Mencap. This is an annual series of acoustic gigs. She has said, "It's like my own mini-Glastonbury!".

Jo is Glamour's Radio Personality of the Year. She was also the personality in 2004 and 2005. Well done!!

I think one of her children has learning difficulties, though I could be wrong.

Is that right? That would make sense as to why she has become involved in the Charity.

It's a very good cause. I hope she raises it's profile.

Have I said too much in earlier days to be able to pick you up on this? ;)

Her sister has Cri du Chat syndrome.

I take it this is one of your "jokes", because it's French, and is translating as "shout of the cat"????

I shall google it, and investigate.

You're right enough. There is a site for it.

Yes, because babies with genetic birth defects are a great source for jokes. Haha ha.

I wasn't laughing. Jono, from experience, does these sarcastic things!!

And you, from experience, complain too much. I've already seen above.

May have been worth a google before making the comment Viv, but a very strange name none the less for a genetic birth defect.
