I loved being on my own when my mum went on holiday. I felt to adult and mature. Plus, I was more inclined to do "chores" when I wasn't asked to do them.

I'm happy but slightly unnerved by the last couple of days. My parents are on holiday so it's just me and well I've suddenly become very responsible. Saturday watered the garden, fed the fish and baked some fairy cakes and did all the washing up. Sunday made a curry and did all the washing up and tidying and today went shopping to Tesco's with the money my mum left me for food as she knew I needed to get some and instead of buying chocolate and ice cream and nice things, I bought actual ingredients to make dinners. Elmo was happy though, he's been well fed all weekend without doing anything.

Aww and just last year you couldn't cook a thing. Our little girl is growing up! Well done, Ms. Lalalala. Now send me a fairy cake.

When I was your age (perhaps a bit younger), my sister and I had a big house party when my parents went away and although my mum knew about it, we didn't clear up properly. She wasn't best pleased. She got home at about 2am and woke us up to clear up straight away.

Booking to go to Egypt in October and New York in November is making me smile lots. Prior to last September I hadn't had a holiday in about 4 years so I dont feel too bad about being indulgent!
