On another forum, where I (politely) informed someone that I think typing in text speak makes them sound less intelligent, the reply came:

actually it takes an enourmous amount of skill to type in txt language, u must learn the abbreviations! (this actually means tht u are more intelligent!) however if i wanted to thn i cud type in the queens english but i find it easier and also alot quicker to type lyk this!!

What's making me smile is an extra 400 people have turned up at the bar tonight and they've all said I'm way better than the regular DJ. That doesn't happen ever! I'm used to turning up at places and being slated by the regulars.

I just heard that my best friend who moved back to Newcastle last year is getting married to my ex-boss then colleague who she moved there with. They're having a teeny wedding in March, no fuss, no show - just because they really really want to be married. I think thats so lovely.

Also a friend of mine who has had a fairly shitty couple of years has picked up the keys to his brilliant new flat which he has been saving like mad to get. Good news there too - when's the housewarming?!
