Much funnier when you mix it in with someone's shampoo though!

Veet smells bad. Has a kind of sewage aroma to it. Following two operations for a pilonidal sinus, I have to use it every 2 or 3 weeks. I use the blokes one, but dont think it smells any different from the womans one. In fact it's probably exactly the same, just in a blue and white tube instead!

Knowing the "humour" level of some people on here, I hope I am the only person who knows what a pilonidal sinus is............

Wouldn't be too much of a 'pain in the arse' to use Google to find out! haha

I have first hand experience of them. Two months off work that got me. I still can't sit still for extended periods because of it, and it was over three years ago now. I guess I never will.

Mine still flares up every now and again, despite them carving out a massive hole last time (my wife said it looked like an eye socket, with out the eyeball!). I was off for about two months as well, and had to have the hole filled up with a seaweed based dressing every bloody day! Grim!!

My girlfriend's a nurse, so I didn't actually need to get anyone in to change my dressing every day after that first day. Which was good since I hadn't long moved out and the health area I had the op done was about 30 miles away. I'd have needed to move back in with my mum otherwise!

I never saw the hole, but I'm told it was huge. But apparently the smell of the used dressing was the worst bit. And not because of where it was either!

Yes Topher, how can you invite visitors over when your flat is freezing? Could see my own breath.

And to make it even more annoying, there's a typo on the single player instructions page.

Sorry for double post but just heard from my sister. My nephew and nieces, who live in Tunis, saw 3 dead children at the side of the road on their way home from school today and no one was paying any attention. This sort of thing makes me angry!

Both questions are to be answered with a yes. My sister was with them and she checked them for signs of life. She thinks they were all about 10 years old. The police turned up so she left them with them.

Jade Goody. Well, not strictly accurate, she annoys me all the time. She basically is what's wrong with society. A moron that's famous for nothing in particular. I hate that kind of celebrity.

I still wouldn't wish her news today on anyone. Her chances of surviving must have dropped through the floor now. Poor girl. I hope by some miracle she pulls through.

So, what's annoying me today? Cancer. The evil scummy shit of diseases.

Cancer is awful - I'm sure pretty much everyone either knows someone who has suffered or has suffered themselves. I can name three who were close to me and I'm sure that's not unusual, in fact it may be quite a low number in comparison.

Having said that, there is hope for her. I know of a few people who were diagnosed as terminal by doctors and are still alive today. One guy I know has a brother who was told he would be dead by Christmas that same year. That was nine or ten years ago and he's well today.

I believe people who are mentally strong about it tend to live longer through it - though that's easier said than done, I'm sure.

Funnily enough I was gonna post the same thing about Jade Goody.

And while I'm sure I've mentioned this previously I'll do it again. My Auntie had a bit of a cough a while ago and went to see her GP who reffered (sp?) her to a specialist in hospital. Six weeks later after never leaving hospital she had died of lung cancer. Round at my Uncles you could see the cards change from "Get well soon" to "With Sympathy" as your eyes went round the room. Terrible shock it was. I missed the funeral as I had locked myself in the communal porch of my flat. Had to wait there seven hours till my missus came home.
