He's done a good job sittingin for Nihal today-could he be the new presenter of weekend breakfast when Nick Grimshaw moves to weekdays in June?

He definitely should have.

Did he actually do well? He's a specialist presenter really, so I can't see him moving to daytime. That said, Nihal has tried, but he's rubbish.

Completely agree. Everytime I remember that they gave it to Grimshaw it makes me mad. I think R1 is in danger of going back to the bad old days...

I'll wholeheartedly fourth that. He would be so much better suited to it than Grimey [sic]. I'm a big fan of his late shows, but also think he proved himself to be pretty versatile over the weekend. I really enjoyed him sitting in for Nihal. He was lucky enough to have producer Chris Cox (on his last weekend shows) helping out too.
