Now for the opinion.

Makes sense, I agree with Yudster that the Cheggars part wasn't working. I still like the quiz part though, that's pretty funny.

I seem to remember them saying that they'd only had a handful of registrations for the quiz, and that coupled with Aled's recent comment in the Ask Aled section makes me think we may be seeing a return to CPC sooner rather than later...

Why? Because it was painful! The actual quiz part of it is funny and works well enough but the Cheggers bits just weren't funny. I admit, I rarely get to listen to that part of the show but I never liked it when I did. I heard it on Listen Again yesterday without the Cheggers stuff and it worked much better. They just tried and failed to recreate the magic of Roy Walker.

I think the reason they dropped Cheggers is simple - he wasnt funny. You can only hear him shoe-horn 'wey-hey' into just about everything he says for a certain amount of time before it becomes unbearable. Good on em for not trying to flog a dead horse.

CPC can't return quickly enough. Sure, Dave throws some absolute gems of questions into Cheggers Pop Quiz, but on the whole it's not particularly funny. And there doesn't seem to be as much scope for contestant stupidity due to the fact that, at most, each player can only get it wrong once. gone are the days of players constantly skirting around the answers, a la CPC.

Plus the fact, Cheggers isn't funny. He isn't even wacky in an inoffensive way. He's simply annoying to the back teeth.

I never had a problem with Cheggers to be honest but if they feel it wasn't working then fair enough.

I'd rather they got rid of the new "Dave's Tedious Link" bed & jingles and bring back Bottom End Theme/Treasure Hunt theme, I really dislike the new one, anyone feel the same?

I like Keith Chegwin, he makes me laugh oh so much. You can't beat the legendary Roy Walker and thus Carpark Catchphrase. However, it is still a good way to round off the show with a bit of 'Cheggers'. By the way squire, have you seen Roy Walker on that advert? I urinate on myself everytime I see it! "It's good but it's not right! I ordered a Korma!" I do laugh, he is a legend.

Cheggers Pop Quiz has been very entertaining since Hannah and now Fernando became involved. I think they should be made permanent.

I partially agree. Hannah was a little bit unsure at first but has really got into the swing of it now, she's coming across really well. If Fernando is the guy who started yesterday, he needed to calm it down a bit for me. I haven't heard today's show though, he may have been better.
