Didn't they prove a while back that he did say the "a" in the sentence and that it happened at the same time as a disruption in the transmission?

This is one of these things that seems to come round every so often. Next week, proof that the ball did/didn't cross the line for the third goal in the 1966 World Cup final.

Staying on topic? Outrageous! I read through it, mainly in disbelief, and read that they had been analysing it according to his accent, tone and vocal inclination and the only thing it made me think was....why??
