I quite like that advert. The mobile phone rant is pretty funny. But then it randomly shoehorns in the product! So cut the actual advertising and I'd be happy with it.

YAY! Futurama is brilliant & shouldn't have ever been cancelled. I just wished that they'd rest The Simpsons now, it's just not the same any more.

Peter Griffin makes me want to vomit and his son's voice is annoying as hell. I'm certain I've said that on here before.

Didn't see much of the football last night, but Jimmy Greaves' half time interview was hilarious. To paraphrase:

JG: "Who are England playing anyway?"
Interviewer: "Andorra."
JG: Andorra. They really are the worst team I've ever seen. Me and the boys could go out and beat them now. I don't know why people even came to see them!"

I thought Greavsie was trying to make a tongue-in-cheek point there, but it backfired and just made him look like a fool. It wasn't a particularly good point either. I don't think he was the best choice of interviewee there.

Greavsie has been sober for such a long time though, it would be sad if he was off the wagon after all that time.

Same here. Technically he's correct about the smaller nations. My brother & I were discussing this when the game was on, although England won 6-0 it was kind of a hollow victory in some ways.

Making me smile (apart from the above post, which is making me grin like a Cheshire Cat) are a couple of things... firstly Banksy's art exhibition in the Bristol museum looks awesome, I'd love to go if I had the time and money to get there. Love the painting of the chimps in parliament.

Secondly, Peter Sissons is retiring from news presenting... here is his finest moment:

Stop typing, look at each other and press the start, turn your computer off, clear porn cookies...yes, go to bed, get up, go out.

Making me smile -- I made it through his graduation! I didn't cry. Well, no, I barely cried. OK, I barely cried FOR ME. I only used half a tissue pack! All make-up was promptly gone within the first 5 minutes - but other than that, I made it! And, he was actually grateful for the little memory board thing I made (he texted from their grad night celebration to say all his friends were laughing at it) and he loved his framed pic with all his friends' signatures on it. Today I'm absolutely shattered. Too. Old. Too. Much. Excitement.

Miss Yudster had a fruitful day inspecting Oxford Brookes University. Apparently she had to buy three new tops in Oxford because it was so hot she needed to get changed..........
