I don't know why but the person who sprung to my mind immediatley was JLC. Chris seems to have thought that Justin doesn't like him in the past because he frequently avoids him or cancels things-I know this is done jokingly on air but maybe the situation has gotten worse, it would make sense that Carrie was particularly shocked as she seems enthralled with JLC when he appears on the show and maybe whoever said it was foolish was thinking from the show's point of view (as in one less guest to appear on the show).

This is of course all speculation and I don't know why Justin Lee Collins sprung to mind at all but it does seem to add up somewhat

Out of curiosity, what happened between him & Longman? At one stage Longman was on air every other day & yet now he doesn't appear at all, he doesn't even get a mention these days.

Something to do with the 'Big Weekend' one year if I remember rightly. Longman got absolutely trolleyed, made a tit of himself, gave lots of interviews to the local media, and err, well that may have been it.

Resides in Florida now apparently, so distance could have killed the friendship stone dead if it wasn't already.

I can't see it being about Longman if he met the person in the pub on Wednesday, unless Longman's back from the States now.

So what are the clues? He went to the pub to end a friendship but had a great night afterwards, needs to take Monday off, someone (Carrie?) made the comment "foolish". Anything else?

Well, his posts on here tended to indicate he wasn't the brightest spark - I think maybe he didn't have enough sense to handle the idea of being a famous person's friend and went over the top with what he perceived as his own "fame".

Seems he changed after he went to Florida, maybe just wanted privacy? I seem to remember he had a myspace page aswell, but since either he got engaged or him and Chris fell out, it disappeared.
