I thinnk you'll find most of us do. What we are complaining about though is him turning up at other times when we thought we were safe from the fatuous garbage he spouts. And if you actually read the thread, last week when he was on Breakfast, people didn't listen, they found other things to listen to or, if they are like me, just enjoyed the silence which is so preferable to the Scott Mills Show. Yesterday, when we all thought we were safe from the arse, he pops up unexpectedly, Had I know he was going to be there I would have switched off.

Well, I did have a point really yes... Until I realised that he was "turning up at other times". I only listen to about 25 minutes of the breakfast show on my way to work and then catch between 20-30 minute snippets of the daytime shows when I'm driving to appointments and until yesterday I had not heard it mentioned in other shows. So yes, I did have a point in my mind. Now however I can see why people might be annoyed. But if something I don't enjoy comes on the radio (such as an R 'n' B song), I usually put my iPod or a CD on for a bit. Each to their own.

I still can't see why you are assuming that anyone else does otherwise? What exactly here - or anywhere else - has made you think that people sit through the Scott Mills Bilge in order to moan about it? The fact that we DO moan about it is an expression of opinion, and as such, perfectly reasonable surely. No one is complaining about having to listen to it, merely the fact that it exists.

I think they're referring to Scott's cover from last week, where every other link he kept talking about the musical, plus I'm just not a fan of his style. I've heard Vernon and like him a lot better than Scott & it's all to do with his style. Although Vernon does play a lot of music, like Scott, (something which Chris hardly does these days) he just comes across better on air. You also know when Vernon is going to wrap up a link as well whereas Scott will suddenly stop talking, mid conversation, and just play a tune.

Of course they were going to promote it. It seems like a lot of work's gone into it and you can hardly expect it not to be mentioned during the most listened-to slot on R1 in the week it's happening. It's over now anyway.

I don't really listen to Scott much anymore (whether covering for Chris or in the afternoons), but I don't dislike him at all. I find both Vernon and Greg a lot more annoying, although from what I've read they both seem to be more popular than Scott with Chris Moyles fans. From what I've heard of it, I don't see (or rather hear) the reported chemistry Vernon has with Dave or the team at all. I think he works better on his own, and I just miss Chris being there.

Can't wait for next week. I'd been aboard for nearly 3 weeks, then came back to find Chris away, so it's been ages for me.

Because I don't like it. That's why you complain about anything isn't it? I'm not complaining about having to listen to it, I'm complaining about the fact it exists. And as for the Brand/Ross comment, unless I am attempting to get Scott Mills taken off the air by official complaints to the relevant authorities, I can't see the similarity, And I'm not, I'm merely saying (as are many others here) that Scott Mills is dreadful. Which he is. Just because I don't listen to him doesn't make him good.

Stephen, you posted in response to people saying exactly what I have said here with riposte "Well why do you listen to him then" basically. You made a mistake, because nobody had said that they did, nobody actually made the complaint that you were commenting on. You messed up. Its ok, live with it.

I don't like Mills, but that doesn't mean he isn't good at what he does. It just means I don't like what he does. If I'm honest, he is the best at the style of show he makes. It could be worse - it could have adverts!

People seem to be getting a bit worked up over something they have complete control over. If you don't like it, turn it off. Even if you can't turn it off, it's a radio show - it's not going to harm you - deal with it!
