I like unusual names too, but I still like them to be names!

Just remembered that I played pool with a satanist last night. Really should go out on a Friday more often.

Had a good night last night. We lost the pub quiz but had my hair plaited by a viking.

Nowt wrong with the name Leanna that I can see, it's hardly in the same league as Pirate or Apple (altho I must confess that I actually think Apple is quite a cute name - it's probably a good job I won't ever be in charge of naming a child). It's nice to choose your own name tho - I chose my own middle name when I got my Deed Poll and I've always been very happy with it.

I never liked Apple much, but I have to confess the one I do rather like is Geri Halliwell's little girl, Bluebell. Goes against the grain for me, but it is sweet.

it's Ruby. I named myself after my great-aunt who was a very cool lady. I'm guessing you mean that your family wouldn't want you to change yours, which is understandable, my dad wasn't that happy about me changing my surname. My mum convinced him that it didn't matter in the grand scheme of things and she was right, it was no reflection on my family or my ties to them, family is one of the most important things in my life.

Well thicken the skin a little, place the tongue firmly in the cheek (and assume that's where everyone else's is too), don't be so precious about your delicate sensitive feelings, and you'll be fine. If you don't want to do that though, your suggestion would be the best one i imagine.
