I live in Fort Worth, but I grew up in Austin. Austin is a bit different than the rest of Texas, in that they all act like they are from California.

Gave up a 10 year career as a race mechanic to go into the natural gas industry. Who knew you could make more working on giant engine than working on little ones....?

I found the channel browsing thru my sirius radio. US radio is rather terrible. They only play what is new, on the rise, or about to be in your town in concert. so you get a HUGE diet of crap you really don't want to hear. Even our classic rock stations fall prey to this equation. They mostly play whoever is having a comeback tour, a farewell tour, or a "I'm broke as hell, so support me" tour.

So, I listen to ya'll. Don't like the top 40 so much (really dislike the JLS, and other poppish stuff). but the dance stuff is great, and the humor isn't all revolving around farts or having sex in a church for front row tickets to see Rush. (Canada should be much more careful with what they export)

oh- and I do get most of the humor, just have to muddle over some of the slang
