Lets be honnest. I doubt Chris has a say on who takes over the show when he is off...

I think if anything they would discuss wether they do chris's show or the normal d.j's show.

Scott does his normal show when chris is off.
Vernon brings elements of his show and chris's show when he covers.

Sara is back covering for fern for 3 weeks next month... But I would love too here sara back on breakfast or back on drivetime...

I personally like scott's show. But have too admit that i would prefer a podcast version of the breakfast show as scott's show is a drivetime show and not a breakfast show. and would rather listen mid afternoon on my break at work.

I never personally listened to sara. But going when i heard her on drive time 2 years ago. I liked what i heard...

Aled had his holiday last week, So I have too hazzard a guess he is still working. But the question will be where will he go. and will he be a on air character for the time chris and the rest of the team are away...

Wish she'd permanently replace the Cotton, Coxy is a lot better than what she used to be & in my opinion should be given a full time show during the week (if she's up for it). Is she going to come back to her weekend show any time soon anyone know?

Well from what he said, it seems like he has a huge say. Even on afternoons he (I imagine regrettably) got Richard Blackwood the gig for a week. Within 20 minutes he'd reduced Radio One to a pirate radio station

I'm sure someone has had this discussion with Aled before, and my recollection of it is that Scott covering the show when Chris is away is a contractural thing. Whether its a contract negotiated by Chris or not I can't recall.

I do remember though that Aled said it was a long standing arrangement, so possibly it was put in place when Scott was still a half decent broadcaster. I can certainly remember a time when Scott Mills covering breakfast was a perfectly acceptable and enjoyable alternative (but then I am VERY old).

I also remember having the impression at the time that The Scott Mills Breakfast Show as opposed to Scott Mills presenting The Chris Moyles Show wasn't something Chris was particularly happy about - that would maybe suggest that he doesn't have a say now, even if he did in the beginning.

i understand where you come from yudster. i remember in 2007 when they used the cheesy sond. in 08 they used there own cheesy song. and now don't use it at all.

i get the feeling scott isn't going too use the current beds when he covers as he doesn't like them for mornings. so we could have 09 jingles or generic jingles.

Over the past few days I've been listening to Scott Mills podcasts dating back to April, perhaps earlier, and there was one (presumably from the first time he covered breakfast this year) where he expressed his unease over the 2010 Moyles background music. It'll be interesting to see if he uses it this time.
