I was going to say that. Has Dave ever said he wants to write a sitcom? I too think Dave is brilliant (in the context of the Moyles show), but he is where he is through luck. If he wasn't mates with Chris with such a brilliant on air chemistry he wouldn't be doing anything like this.

I do wonder what Dave would do in the unlikely event that Chris decided to pack this whole thing in and decide to retire.

I don't underestimate his input into the show at all, he's integral to it. But the question was do I think he'll write a hit sitcom, and no, I don't. I have no idea whether he ever will or not, but my guess would be that he won't.

I think he could do it as part of a team, but not on his own. HE is a very funny bloke, but not sure he would be any good at actually structuring a sit com but would be able to come up with funny gags etc.

Maybe thats what the team should do when they do leave radio 1
