My first monday night in for a fair few weeks and i thought I'd check out the BBC2 comedy. What a bloody dissapointment! "Dead Ringers" was on first and IMO was a very poor impression show with jokes stolen (or just already told) by every other satirical show out there. Plus the canned laughter was well over the top and far too loud (why do they put that on?) think I smiled once throughout the show.
Following that was TLC, a poor scrubs rip-off. Another one with no laughter from me (at least there wasn't canned laughter this time). All I can say is thank god for Alan partridge!
BBC Comedy used to be so good, why has it gone so downhill? Someone please point me towards some good comedy or I shall be converted to the darkside of ITV and 2DTV (which is cracking!).
Oh and anyone know why TV companies feel it necessary to shove canned laughter over everything? I think it ruined the league of gentlemen, its really patronising, telling us when to laugh!
