Yeah I don't see the appeal either really...I don't like that look that Tina has in photos, that smile that looks very professional, but a bit plastic. Having said that, I'm sure she looks fine in the studio. But Sam is a different matter

Hmm. The phrase rock and hard-place comes to mind...
Tina has been great, and a year is quite enough time to meld a bit with the team, which Tina certainly has.
But Carrie has MUCH more experience and melding with the team, and she did mix very well. And I'd certainly like to hear her voice again in the morning.
Rachel too, I miss Rachel quite a bit.

I'm always gonna remember the early days when I discovered the show with fondness, but I still think it doesn't matter anyway as there is a sort of magic at work that goes beyond any personalities that exist now or then in the studio. It's a winning formula thats made it so successful for so long.

I'm 27 minutes into this mornings show. Paul the voiceover guy has done a countdown for Chris' birthday. There was also 30 and 29 days to go but it started on 25 days to go this morning.

Aled said there is two events we are counting down to, there's you (Chris) and someone else.

Didn't carrie leave the 12th February. They had a week of tina from the monday the birthday show on the monday 22nd...

So we will find out on valentines day i guess.

I would miss Tina, apart from the annoying habit she hasn't managed to shake where she copies what has just been said by another team member but on a 5 second delay in order to fit in. It always feels a bit forced to me unfortunately.

Would love to hear Carrie back as part of the team. Maybe we could convice the Radio 1 bosses (and the ladies themselves of course) that a job share would be a really good option.

Sorry, I'm not the best at expressing my views. I never meant that it is up to the radio one bosses just that should Carrie wish to come back to the show a job share would be a way to keep all the Carrie and Tina lovers placated (somewhat).
