Oh yes, I think it may be the strongest of the lot (Foots or Munki may be able to clarify) yet the Inverness accent (well Karen Gillan's at least) is a lot more softer (I actually really like her accent in Doctor Who) :)

It really really varies. Willie from The Simpsons is a bad example because that's an American doing an incredibly bad accent that doesn't sound like anything. But the classic Glaswegian Rab C Nesbitt accent is what people mostly think of as Glasgow - but Sean Biggerstaff (Oliver Wood in the first 2 Harry Potter movies) also has a Glasgow accent and it sounds completely different, really really gorgeous in fact.

That's it. That's absolutely everything I know about Scottish accents. The whole lot.
