I'm working on Feb 2010 and I am now going to do one each month. They could be quite useful ways of finding particular shows.

Bit of a long shot, but does anyone have a specific show from early 2008 (think it was Jan-Feb 2008), where Chris fir the first opening link kept playing this 'indian music'? I remember him saying constantly to Dave: 'You know what I think of that Dave?' 'What?' *plays music*

Anyone else having trouble with Internet Archive? I'm trying to upload Thursday, and when I hover the mouse over the Share button, it says

"Internet Archive Editor requires cookies. Are cookies turned off?"

My cookies are turned on, and I've specifically added archive.org to allow cookies, but it still won't work.

EDIT: Never mind, it's working today

Ah ok, that's good to know. As long as at least one person is enjoying them then that's ok, otherwise I'm just uploading stuff which I've already got on my computer

I think its good just because i don't use them currently but as soon as the show finishes i will go back and it can be good for listening to memorable shows. Or as i don't keep full shows myself then if i forget to clip something i can go back and do it from these

Oh yeah, goes without saying that as soon as they stop, I'll be going all the way back to the beginning of this back catalogue we've built up. In fact there will be many shows I've heard before, because I was stupid enough to not be listening from the beginning.

I've probably got it, but you'll have to give me a firm date. Go through the running orders on the website and see if it's referenced there.

Hello, yep I'm still alive

Basically what I'm going to do is this, copy the whole list over & replace the list on the first post over this weekend.

I'm sorry I haven't done this for ages but I haven't really been in the mood for editing of recent & just keep forgetting about this thread, apologies to all for this.

Regarding "crediting" people I have thought of an alternative labelling system if the excel document proves to be tiresome, basically I can sort out a 6 letter code system to write next to each show for whoever sourced the show & whoever edited it for example:

A show sourced & edited by IanPWilliams would be coded IPWIPW
A show sourced by Johnny 1989 & edited by IanPWilliams would be coded J89IPW
A show sourced by Jamie C21 & edited by Johnny 1989 would be coded J21J89
A show sourced & edited by J.E.D. would be coded JEDJED
A show sourced by Johnny 1989 & edited by TIAL would be coded J89TIL

It's up to you ladies & gents, if this is easier way of going about it, with a brief discription of each show then great, however if people still want to do the excel document then please feel free to do so

Let me know what you want to do & I'll work on it this Sunday (I'm doing * all that day anyway so I may as well do it then )

I'm not sure but i could try and keep the excel spreadsheets going but I'm not sure how easy it would be. Otherwise could we not try a system with 5 people where each one is nominated a day to write extended info about. Maybe just a paragraph or so. Or otherwise would a short description and a link to the show info on the radio 1 website suffice?

Yes, rather embarrassingly I was shite again this weekend & didn't update the list again, sorry all I just haven't felt the love for the archive of recent (plus probs with my old iPod means I haven't been able to "synch it" of recent so I keep forgetting about this thread, however March is round the corner, that's usually when I get back into it & hopefully my iPod issues will be solved by then.

By all means Stinson if you feel like having feel free to do so, you can quote my last update, copy & paste into a new post of yours & then try and add the new ones in the list, trust me you'll see why it takes me a dogs age to do it & why I get put off so often but please feel free to do so.

If not I'll see what I can do, I can't promise anything mind, I definitely can't do it tomorrow I'm out & about so I see what I can do & I'll seriously try me best to update the list, What I'll have to do for now is copy the first post to Word (so as to make sure I get the right names credited) and then bung the whole lot on there, I'll see what I can do but as I say don't hold your breath.

That's it yes, the best way to do it is to copy the list & then add in the relevant ones in between & add the bits missing, if you get what I mean
