I don't know whether or not its true but if it is then its desperately sad (Chris Moyles leaving) and desperately jolly (less chance of stumbling across Jo Whiley).

It might well be true, but there's no point in worrying about it is there. We all know Chris will leave at some point - there are a lot of reasons to suppose it might be sooner rather than later I suppose. Whatever happens, I'm still listening.

"Jo Whiley is to leave Radio 1 after 17 years in an overhaul of the station that is expected to lead to Chris Moyles vacating his breakfast slot. Whiley, 45, will move to Radio 2 as the BBC tries to address complaints from rivals that older presenters on Radio 1 are pulling in too many listeners over the age of 30, which the commercial sector relies upon for advertising revenue."

God * forbid that the over 30's listen to Radio 1 eh? It's this limitation on the playlist that makes the majority of the music on Radio 1 crap.

I'll believe the Moyles rumours about him leaving when I see it. There's been speculation for ages. I know he'll leave eventually but I wish there was less speculation completely out of the blue about it.

At least they didn't have to spend a long time thinking of an imaginative username during the sign up process.

Moyles has been "on the verge of leaving" since about 2007. I think it's fair to say they're closer to the end than the beginning, but I wouldn't take any notice of these articles, although I do sense it's pretty unsettling to the team, barely a couple of days goes by without out reference to age or contract negotiations.

whenever chris evans gets bored of the breakfast show on radio 2, he will just slot in there easily.

I don't see Evans vacating that slot anytime soon. He seems to like it, and he is very good at it, its a good breakfast show.
