What in the name of Tara's t'its has cola got to do with Christmas? The last thing I would want to do of a cold & frosty Yuletide is consume thier putrid fizzy brown tramps p**s.Do they think that we are forever going to associate the festive season with effervescent bubbles pressure-hosing the snot from our nostrils onto our turkey roast?
I need a cup of tea.

Actually, cola has a lot to do with Christmas.

Pre 1920 (i think), Santa Claus was basically how is is now, except that his suit was green. Coca-Cola, in their advertising campaign over the festive season, decided that they would make Santa's clothes red, to fit with their colours.

Because much of the press was in black and white, the posters of Santa wearing red in the adverts stuck in people's mind, and is how Santa is now perceived the world over.

As Coca-cola have pretty much designed Santa in their image, I think it fair to say cola has a lot reason to associate itself with this time of year.

Anyway, I prefer Pepsi.

I've just re-read your post and its actually a bit of a hoot. Quote: "Coco Cola designed Santa Claus in the first place" You can't take that back now you've said it.You've made a fool of yourself on the message board. You've let yourself down, and you've let your parents down, and you've let your country down too.
By the way if you ever drop your keys in a bonfire DO NOT put your hand in to retrieve them.

Look I don't want to make a big deal about this but you've made a fool of yourself.Well not actually a fool more of a tw*t,but hey its Christmas and you're obviously an adolesent (and they can't help being fools) so I forgive you,but you're still a fool, and you know why?because you're a fool. You fool.

I think you will find that you have the inability to read, as you appear to quote me on a sentence that isn't even in the text, then base your entire post around it. I made no reference, direct or implied, that Santa Claus was initially created by the Coca-Cola company, only that the afore mentioned company amended the image by replacing the green suit with a red one to suit their advertising campaign.

Before you accuse me of anything else in the future, I would suggest that you re-check what you write. What you have actually written not only contradicts what I have already plainly stated, but is also slanderous towards myself, and I don't think that is at all fair that I should be subject to that abuse, purely because of your incompetancies.

That link is interesting, but you still seem to be missing the point. I have not claimed at all that Santa Claus was created by the Coca-Cola company. If that was the case, then I would except it. I merely suggest that the colour of the clothing worn may have been influenced by an advertising campaign.

You also seem to think I am some adolesent, when it appears that whilst I am using the art of construstive debate, you are resorting to crude and abusive remarks and name-calling. I can only assume that your level of wit is derived from the playground. Even if you have now left school, it appears as so your humour gland has still not matured beyoud this level.

And before you try and pick me up on it, I am aware the 'humour gland' does not exist, it is a metaphor that I created.

Now get back to your homework, or whatever you do.

Fact: Santa's suit was NEVER green.
Fact: Coca Cola Company copied Santas image 'red and white' to help boost sales of their putrid tramps p**s around Christmas time. You seem to think its the other way round. Its not.
I really must sleep now.

You fool.

Oh yes, and the reason we eat mince pies at Xmas comes from an ancient Mongolian tradition of eating the Minced Eyes ferets. Naturally, over time, this was deemed as cruel and gradually changed, but to this day, mincemeat contains about 2% of feret's tail to try and keep this little known tradition alive.

Although Coca-Cola didn't create the image of 'Santa Claus' they did help popularise the image of him that we all associate with Christmas to this day.

Going to the pub isn't all about drinking, it's about sitting down for a chat and a laugh with your mates. I persoanlly liek a nice quiet pub where youy can just chill out and you don't HAVE to have alcohol to do that do you?!??! I used to go down the pub two or three times a week and drink water and still have a great time!
