I'm a long time listener and fan but new to this forum. I have also been wondering who Lin / Lynne is as she keeps getting mentioned more frequently. She has been helping him revise for Disastermind quite a lot, but on air this morning (around 8:50 I think - can't double check now) he said something about Lin being "in bed". Has she now moved in as his lodger to help with the mortgage cost on his mansion?

I think there is more to this than meets the eye, but if it was a 'secret' girlfriend why mention her name on air in the first place?

So we found out during the Simon Pegg/Nick Frost interview yesterday that she's not called Lin or Lynn, and that is just her Alan Partridge alias. The other bit of information we discovered, that Simon's dog has a 'saggy minge' after losing too much weight, made me laugh so hard! I wasn't fussed about listening to their interview, but I really enjoyed it in the end.

How were you nearly right? Did you say that Chris's assistant was known as Lin because of Alan Partridge, but actually preferred not to have her real name used on the radio? I must have missed that post.

Yeah. I don't even know who Chris Moyles is.

I was joking of course, but I listen to the whole show from start to finish, I never miss a minute (apart from skipping many songs and the news). I wonder how many here tune in like in the "old days", only when they are up and listening live, so miss some of the show, and how many only "Listen Again" to the whole show, like me.

I wake up early at 6.30 to listen and then listen until i go to college but times vary and then i listen to the rest on listen again later in the day.
