Cassette Archive has put up another Mark and Lard show where they fill in for Chris Evans, who's due on later hosting a Roadshow. From Friday 5th July 1996. I think this is the first time they'd hosted a breakfast show, so it's interesting listening.
Does anyone know of anywhere else where I can upload this week's Moyles shows, where they won't get deleted? I've been getting server errors on Internet Archive for three days now.
What I could really do with is an upload manager, in case the upload breaks for some reason and I can restart from where I left off. Something like Mega Uploader for Megaupload, although I'm sure they delete their files eventually.
Anyway I'm trying to upload all five shows in a zip file to Internet Archive now. Which does mean we could only have a link to the whole week, and not each show. But I'll be surpised if the uploads completes anyway. So any suggestions welcome!
I still can't get the shows online. It may be partly because my broadband isn't so great. So I might just try and upload the zip file somewhere else, and then maybe someone else with better broadband can upload the zip file to the Internet Archive.
I've had it with Internet Archive. I know it be partly my broadband which is at fault, but IA can't be helping, because I just can't upload to it anymore. If I could get the zip file of the weeks shows uploaded somewhere, is there anyone here with good broadband who would be prepared to try uploading the zip file to IA? I'm thinking we could just have one link for a week of shows on the thread anyway, rather than one for every day.
I like it how it is currently but obviously if your encountering problems then we need a change. Is there no other site that can upload like internet archive where you can play it instantly? I really like that. If you do go for 1 zip file can you try and avoid megaupload if possible please?
I'll try IA again tomorrow anyway though. I'd rather not get to a point where the thread is weeks behind though. Maybe another option would be for me to send a DVD to someone, who can then upload them. I'm open to suggestions.
I could attempt it but it would take me about 10 minutes to download each show plus the upload time then. And i can't be dealing with DVD'S every week. Someone else might be up for that though?
It's ok, I'll just keep trying IA for now. I'm quite surprised that you stream the shows online on IA. I always download them and play them on the computer or mp3 player myself. Anyway I managed to get three of last week's shows uploaded last night:
I still don't know if it's the website, my broadband, my computer, or a combination of all three causing problems (has anyone else had problems uploading to IA?). Anyway I'll try and get Thur and Fri and some of this week uploaded today. Although at the moment I can't access the IA website at all.
I wonder, when it comes to editing the 37-hour show, should I put every link in? Even if they just say "that was Rhianna, now here's Rhianna"? I suppose I will
When they are doing the other DJ's shows, will those shows still be the same format as they normally would? I never listen to the other DJ's so I have no idea what they do on their shows.
Ian, you don't still have the unedited version of this Friday's show that you could upload by any chance do you? I'm having a nightmare downloading it and i want to hear the golden hour.
