finally, there's no reason why you need to sign off each post with your name, or initials to indicate your name. it's right there on the left, and everyone can see it. unless it's an ironic way of parodying your own insignificance.

On some forums, almost everyone posts their initials or name at the end of each post (Auran.com Trainz forums), on others, almost no-one does (MineCraft.com), and in a lot of forums it's a mixed bag.
In all these forums, which collectively would be many, many hundreds of thousands of people, you find the occasional person who needs to tell other people whether they should put their name or initials at the end of a post, like it's up to them, lol

BTW, the poll shows that 70% of those who bothered to vote thought that Aled was wrong to block the song.
It's Aled's decision to make, but it does show that you're in the minority when it comes to the question asked in this thread.

@Aled; I know you have guidelines you have to keep to, and that Chris can sometimes push them, so you have to be careful, but I honestly believe that in the case of the Sunshine Sheilas, it's PC gone made.
As someone has already pointed out, the playlist over the last year has songs on it that are much more offensive, and they're not even joking like Chris was.

EDIT: This morning, that song that goes "I see you baby, shaking that ass" was played.
Is the irony really lost on some people here?
The advert that used this song was pulled off commercial TV (at least at certain times of the day, as I recall) because of the lyrics, and yet it was played on Radio 1 between 9 and 10am today.
I've no problem with the song being played, but I'd say that was pretty inconsistent, and why aren't the PC crowd shouting for that song to be pulled?

While I totally understood why Aled didn't let Chris play the song unedited (and in my opinion, made the whole section much funnier with all the arguing, whilst still being able to listen to original here) I've got to echo what people are saying about the slight hypocrisy when you look at some of the music that's played on air every day. Just listening to R1 now, and they've played the latest N-Dubz track - Girls - which seems to be on a pretty high rotation. Anyway, I decided to Google the lyrics, and the sentiment behind that song is a million times worse than the Sunshine Sheila's song!
