I would have preferred a 'quite fit' option. I don't see how anyone could say she is unattractive. She isnt faultless but she certainly doesn't look 'weird'.

She looks like a sheep. As for talent - well she's successful, which means she has talent for something, maybe marketing, or sales strategy, or pulling the wool over people's eyes (which would fit with the sheep thing) - but she can't sing. She really can't. She might be marginally less cringing to listen to if she could decide which accent she wants to sing in, but she swings from American to Irish to Scottish to Estuary-English every fifteen seconds or so, and it just sounds so poor. She can hold a tune but too often chooses not to, and her voice is thin and weak. In a studio this can be manipulated to transform "thin and weak" into "pretty and ethereal", but technical tricks thrill me even less than the vocal tricks she uses, which anyone with any vocal training can spot a mile off.

She is the flavour of the month and good luck to her, I don't blame her for milking it for all its worth, but she certainly isn't a talent in the way that someone like Adele is.

She can look like a sheep if she likes, that doesn't bother me. It makes me angry though, when people get a reputation for being good at something that they are basically at best pretending to do. She isn't a good singer. Neither are lots of successful pop artists, but at least they are mostly just doing what they do and not pretending to be "real" singers. She is, and it annoys me a lot.

I don't begrudge her success. Plenty of people who have less talent than she does are successful and good luck to them, I just don't like her basking in a reputation as being a proper musician when she isn't.


And her version of Your Song is an abomination and an insult to the memory of Elton John. Or it will be when he is dead anyway. It sounds like its being warbled by a four year old.

Well Elton John certainly likes her version of it. As do many other people including Prince William and Catherine Middleton

Many people claim things they have no genuine claim to. And I thought this thread was called Ellie Goulding? Why would a thread about Greg James be called Ellie Goulding?!

Really don't get your sheep comparison at all Yuds, there's far uglier women out there, although I my opinion I do think Adele is prettier than Ellie & I do think Adele is a better singer although don't think Ellie is that bad a singer, there's again far worse out there, I wouldn't call her a fraud either, plus I still think "Under the sheets" is a good song myself
