My boss, well not my office or department boss but the one I work with (basically a minor boss), to be fair we've all been having a totally shit week at work this week, however after several of our jobs went tits up (again, and not our fault but the salesman) my boss turned round on the phone to me and said "I don't know about you but I really couldn't give a * about this job any more", which really didn't help me at all & really * me off, he earns double my wage & yet isn't interested in doing his side of the job, stupid wanker.

A customer has just threatened my boss cos they got invited to a free lunch event and they didn't respond quickly enough to get a place. Yep, cos the papers are definitely interested in stuff like that. It's no wonder I'm cynical - people are just awful.

All trains cancelled and busses screwed. That makes it harder to get home from Edinburgh when you don't have the car.

I'd have got the plane but the ash cloud said naw.

The customer will never actually do anything though. They only try these things to try and get something for free as there's not really anything to lose by trying

We had a customer last week on the phone for 10 minutes contesting 75p, apparently it was the "principle", in the end we had to give it to them but by the time it's processed, the letter written & posted it really isn't * worth it, why would you even bother (and don't say "the principle" because if that's the case then you're a sad person arguing over 75p)

They probably weren't happy with the service they received so felt cheated paying more than they should and wanted to piss you off for giving them a bad service maybe.
