If his kids weren't listening on Thu, they won't know the prize was ever in the offing, so they won't know what they've missed out on. But if they were...poor Dom must have had some explaining to do.

Yes Dom did not complete the challenge, but he did have the hardest one by far ( which was unfair ).
So i think it would also be unfair to not give the kids the prize.

I said this last week. Dom should have his prize - his challenge was the only one where he was asked to go well above and beyond his fear and he DID conquer his fear. If you are scared of flying to the point where you will begrudgingly get on a commercial jumbo jet if you absolutely must, getting on a flimsy light aircraft must be terrifying - he did this and he very nearly did the full challenge - for that reason, he should get his prize. Well, his kids should get theirs.

if he'd just gone another 5 seconds, he wouldn't have had a choice in jumping or not. You're strapped to the instructor, so once your at the door, you're jumping whether you like it or not.

Unless the instructor thinks that you wouldn't be able to handle being forced to jump.

If he thought that, and I'd imagine that's what happened with Dom, you wouldn't jump.
