For the record I'm a moderator on a weight training forum and like to get notified whenever a spammer appears so rather than wading through tonnes of threads to occasionally stumble across a spammer, it's handy if the members report them and it keeps the garbage to a minimum. Obviously on here there isn't a huge amount of threads to wade through so the moderators will most likely find the spam before or at the same time as the members.

Not exactly, just aware that other people in my office have been "spoken to" about their internet usage whilst at work (although not me, I'm immensely relieved to say), and I DO find it a distraction if I'm honest, so its less a ban and more a self-imposed exile!
