Yep, fraid so. Even in the context of a joke, beating women up is illegal and so I couldn't let it stay. Sorry.

Yep, course. Sorry, that was a slightly poor choice of words. Anyone who mentions beating up anyone will get the same reaction :)

i was showing my Doctor a rash on my penis the other day. He seemed quite uncomfortable and didn't seem to want to examine it closely, which miffed me a bit.

But, not to be put off I pushed him for his best advice on the situation....

He told me to make an appointment to see him monday and then carried on with his shopping!

What does this have to do with anything we've been talking about, at all?

May I present you with the following evidence m'lady as to why Tim decided to introduce the topic of his itchy penis the thread -

Which in itself is ironic as I've had genital rashes that were funnier than Lee Hurst.

...i always find the genital conditions that burn when you pee to be much more fun and erratic.

I'm sure Tim has no need for me to defend his case but I always feel that if there is any chance to discuss itchy *, I'm all for it.

... Beyond that, nowt. Jus' amusing myself, really (no Badger, not in the Madam Palm way).

Liar.

That's a good point badger, I had forgotten about the whole genital rash conversation...I think I was trying to forget it.

Sorry a bit of a belated comment, I went to the Wigan signing and despite him being 35 mins late (he stopped for a pie in bolton why???????) he was very charming and bent over backwards when trying to get a good quality photo. such a shame about the turnout me and the missus only counted 25 people, but never the less he put on a god show, i read the book before i got back to my pub in Blackrod but that's mainly due to the horrible traffic on the bus, such a good "toilet" book I've read it twice since, plus made me re-read Chris's books again.

He was late to Bolton as well! I did think an hour to get comfortably from Huddersfield to Bolton was a bit ambitious...and 35 people is a pretty good turnout, I didn't see anyone else except Waterstone's staff when I was there :)

35 would have been good Nicola but as i said only 25 turned up and most looked like they had been dragged there but there mums or partners, wish I went t the bolton 1 now but missed the bus then the train

Oh yeah, I saw 35mins and 25 people and mixed the two up...that's what happens when you read and take phonecalls at the same time. Either way it's better than the Bolton turnout! I only went cos I was off work that day and the train from Manchester to Bolton is pretty quick and easy - I suspect the fact that it was a weekday afternoon may have affected the numbers somewhat.

Yea that's a good point but maybe just shows that ( and I know he's not allowed) he should have got a few more cheeky plugs in like Chris did

Got this for Christmas - wow, what a naff read :(

Hope it was worth the money Dave!

I got it as well and found it to be more interesting than I expected it to be. Granted, it could have been way better than it is, but as a throw away, light-weight sort of book it served its purpose I think.

Is it basically an autobiography?

It's autobiographical in the same way that Chris' first book was - ie it's stories from his life, but not in a linear fashion. It isn't chapter one my early childhood, chapter two high school etc. Which I quite like - traditional autobiographies can be a bit dull at times.

Tsk Ryan, read the thread back before asking questions :)

C'mon now Nic, Ryan's too busy playing x-box and making sticky socks to re-read the whole thread.

If he isn't doing these things, then he bloody well should be.
