Yep, that pictures appeared on the front page of the Mail today as 'another' reason that wind turbines don't work.

Hope you're all OK up there.

Realistically though Topher, wind turbines are the least efficient way of generating power there is. Incredibly expensive, high maintenance and poor output. New designs keep coming out that are improvements, but ultimately there is going to have to be a better way of harnessing wind-power because turbines don't cut it. At least not yet they don't.

Yep, all calmed down now only a few fences down round my way. Also seems to have given the place a well needed wash. Which is nice.

A friend I haven't seen for ages has invited me out for a drink tomorrow. Coincidentally, I notice from his Facebook profile that he's single again. I'm sure the two are not in any way connected.

Hey hey. How are we all? It's been aaaaages since I've been able to get on here so I hope you're all doin good. Image

dimtimjim wrote:So, lots changed for me since last on here, hence my lack of posts. I now work, and live (monday to friday) in the beautiful county of Surrey. After doing that weeks work up in Benji Town (Worcester) I spent 3 weeks furiously job searching, and if i'm honest, one week in Spain riding my bike again. but while out in Spain I accepted a job and started last week!

Good points: It means I've been able to stay working in Architecture - which is nice. And the company i'm now working for seem really good too. And, for the first time in years - I now get PAID HOLIDAY! Whoop! Takes me back a few years!

Bad points: Well, obviously it in Surrey, which is hardly boardering Leicester, but hey-ho. And i've had to take a 20% hit on money from where I was before, but again, some is better than nowt. The M25, which I now spend 2hrs+ each day on. Oh, and too many ruddy southerners down 'ere. Humph. :)

Congratulations Tim - I hope it's working out ok for ya. Also... although motorbike racing should be banned, THIS made me a little tingly.

This discussion confused me but I'm glad you lot sorted it out by yourself. Badger - I take it you survived the Bawbag? Did you get your free t-shirt?

Had a nice weekend, which I am still smiling about. The only down bit was that coming home the weather in and around Oxford was so awful that we didn't pop in to see Topher and Cat on the way home like we had hoped to do. Next time!

Think it confused Ben even more. And yes the bawbag done me no harm. And no, no free t-shirt for me. Now if they had done bawbag briefs I'd have been first in the queue.
