You know the only thing going for RI:se was the good looking females in it. Today theyve sacked Kirsty Gallacher and Liz Bonnin from the show. Chris Rogers also has got the heave ho from the show leaving Mark Durden Smith and Edith Bowman.

"It is believed that Sky Sports' Soccer am co-host Helen Chamberlain, who stands in for Gallacher occasionally, will join as a full-time presenter when the show is relaunched from a new central London site on Monday January 20.

Durden-Smith and Bowman are currently re-negotiating their contracts, but are expected to stay with RI:SE.

The departures come just nine months after the breakfast show was launched, and is a major admission that the formula designed to emulate the success of the once highly successful Big Breakfast was not working."

FACE IT. RI:SE IS CRAP and will NEVER and I mean NEVER REPLACE THE BIG BREAKFAST IN TERMS OF ENJOYMENT.

I once caught about 30 seconds of RI:SE. It was nothing compared to the old days of Jonny and Denise.

Anyway, doesn't affect me anymore as I have a cushy job working from home so I don't get up until 10:30 anyway.

RI:SE is just a plain copy of The Wright Stuff from channel 5 which is on a bit later, except that RI:SE isn't at all funny :/
They need some real funny people and a set, not a stupid table.

that edith has a chin like desperate dan she isnt attractive at all. Helen Chamberlain could be the saviour of that show because in my eyes she can do no wrong. i still dont get why people like the big breakfast so much i always thought it was a bit naff. the best thing about rise is they show the goals from the previous nights matches.....

Durden altho a bit of a tw:at left and has been replaced by Iain Lee, yes the reason why even tho they had Ricky Gervais and Ali G on the 11 O Clock Show it still sucked. He has been added to add his "comedic" style. I seemed to think that the only thing that he found funny was to insert the odd swear word in an ironic way. He cant do that at 8am so hes fcuked. If they really want a comedic feel, then dump and show reruns of Futurama, Friends and Frasier in the morning. At least it would be an alternative to the rest of the terrestial channels.
