Well I don't mind PM'ing him. What's his username? I'll ask him:

If he's prepared to give us all of the shows
What the total file size will be of all the shows
I'll make sure there are no individual files over 4GB (assuming we are going down the FAT32 route - I'm assuming he would have a Mac)
Whether we send him the hard drive(s) and get them back from him

It may be that I can afford to buy one of the 2TB drives myself, but I'm not sure just yet if I can or not.

And when the show does end, I would be up for editing whatever missing shows there are in chronological order, because I'll want to start listening to the archive in order, soon after the show stops, and I'd prefer to not have to stop while gaps are filled in.

Would it be necessary to pass the hard drive around on order for us to get the unedited shows. Wouldn't it be possible for whoever gets the hard drive returned to then to just upload them all? Or is that not possible, or too big a job logistically?

That would be possible but I'd imagine it would take a very long time when most people just want the edited versions. There won't be many of us wanting them unedited so would probably be easier to pass it round to those who want unedited versions of the shows.

Yeah, I think it's only a few people who would want unedited versions. Endless pass-the-parcel with hard drives probably isn't a good idea

I don't even know why I want the unedited versions really. 99% of the time I would only listen to the edited versions, but I suppose I just think it would be pretty cool to have every single breakfast show in full.

As for edited/unedited versions, I know what you mean. I would only ever listen to the edited ones, but it would feel good to have the unedited ones too! Like a piece of history. Which is one of the reasons why I'm considering buying a hard drive myself. After all, it we all chipped in and bought one, who would end up keeping it?
