Before it becomes a free-for-all, I think the idea is that the Quality Nuts will be a select few, and will be editing shows, and will be regulars, as there will be transferring of hard drives in the post. Not that I'm eliminating anyone or anything.

Whoever does what though, it's good to know you have so much hard drive space and online space and bandwidth James. Mine is limited (all three).

But Aled still hasn't replied anyway, so this may all be moot...

A few people seem to have accepted this post as the way forward, so am I correct in saying that the consensus is that only people who are prepared to edit shows can get the full, unedited versions of them?

If so, I dont agree with that. True, Aled hasnt agreed to anything yet so this may well be a pointless debate, but some of us would be prepared to accept the shows as is, without editing, so it seems unfair to stop us from getting them.

I think that we need to be careful who that one hard drive goes to but after a few of us have got it off that then maybe for example say if me, Ian and Nic get the full shows then perhaps you could send me a hard drive which I could copy the shows to? Just saves anything happening to the original hard drive then.

That's exactly the way I proposed it happen in my original post:

3) The Quality Nuts each send a 2TB USB drive to The Archivist and he transfers the FLACs and MD5s to the drives and sends them back to The Quality Nuts. Maybe there are 3 or 4 Quality Nuts. I am one of them.

There could also be a role for The Duplicator. Which I could do.

Just a quick warning:
Some of the October 2008 shows will have chunks missing. I don't know why. I noticed as I was converting them to mp3 ready for editing.

I'd rather, if someone was really bored, that it was edited to look a bit more like the first post of this thread as it's a bit neater (viewtopic.php?f=29&t=22764#p374470) - but that's certainly secondary to having it up-to-date.

It may be worth waiting slaphead. I'm not doing 2007 at the moment because Aled would have better quality ones.

And I wasn't proposing that anyone shouldn't be allowed to have edited or unedited shows. Ideally every edited and unedited show could eventually end up online for all. But to begin with it'll have to be organised, otherwise there will be lots of hard drives travelling around in the post, which would inevitably lead to problems.
