Wetherspoons in MK have a january sales! I think this is the best idea ever, january sales in a pub... A pint of carling = £1.39! Which is good, 'cos I work two doors away from wetherspoons! They're normally very cheap anyway, them and lloyds (same company i think)

Yeah, that's the trouble with MK though - it's commuter city, so london prices. A lot of people work in London from here and travel up there every day (that was me 2 years ago), so us that have jobs in MK have to make do with MK wages but london prices!

RE: The drinking topic, it was a mate's 18th last night, and we ended up in Frankie and Bennies because Lloyds bar where I live is shite, full of trendy arseholes with attitude and it was too packed to move. He'd been drinking vodka RB's, and someone got him a glass with about five shots of various spirits such as tequila and aftershock, and we made him down it. Then we got him a rather large aftershock - one red, one blue, one green and one black and he downed that too. I have to say we were very impressed he was still standing after that!
