(John) Kerry was the dullest man on the planet who lost to Bush Jnr second time around...i think you mean Joe Biden aka the American Prince Phillip, that said I am a bit of politics geek as demonstrated my current bedtime reading (yep I'm so target for big boss Ben's vision of R1)...

As for Chris going to America I'm equally doubtful it could work...

Jeepers. I read an interesting article about Caro a while back in the NYTimes or similar. I don't think I could digest such huge books. Did you read the earlier volumes?

Yeah, I then re-read them before starting this volume, they are superb (especially Master of the Senate) although I do hope he it doesn't take him ten years to do the 5th (and likely final volume) he has said it will be about 3 years but he won't allow anyone to finish it if he dies before. It does show huge commitment to basically dedicate your life to such an exercise he published the first one the year I was born!

I do love these expansive biographies, this is my current 'to read' pile (all (besides the LBJ one) picked up dirt cheap (no more than £5 each).

These sort of books may look daunting but I find them endlessly fascinating so would recommend people with any interest to give them a go especially with Chris off air (bringing it back on topic

).

Art Linson's book is completely the opposite of those huge tomes you are reading, it's like a pamphlet! But it's a good read. And the Langella book is outrageous (my dear boy).

Just remembered that I played pool with a satanist last night. Really should go out on a Friday more often.

Had a good night last night. We lost the pub quiz but had my hair plaited by a viking.

Love Mark Radcliffe. The Mark and Lard afternoon show was the only one I was as religious about as the Moyles Breakfast Show.

Finally got round to watching the final show this morning. Was such a good way to bow out. Shame the last ever part had to be pre-recorded, but oh well.

Over the last week or so, its really started to sink in that it really is all over. No offence to Grimmy, but no other show was ever going to be as good as TCMS, and unless they all come back, nothing will ever be as good.

I'm sure in one way or another, they'll be back - which will be great, but mornings will never, ever be the same without them.
