Chris Dave and Aled could do huge numbers podcasting, but if they charge I don't see it succeeding.
Only Gervais, Merchant & Pilkington, to the best of my knowledge, managed to pull charging for a podcast off because they were popular world wide.
Unless it was a podcast "brought to you by castrol gtx and Ginsters Pies". That type of advertising might work.
Advertising on podcasts is not nearly as intrusive as it is on the radio because you can skip the ads at the press of a button. You can't do that with radio.

I'm not so sure about that. I won't lie and will say that I only really listen to BBC podcasts (Chris Moyles show & The Infinate monkey cage) but from other podcasts that I have heard, The adverts are very much an intrusive part.
