Whilst I have been critical of some aspects of the show in the past, the past week has been highly entertaining probably due to the long holiday.
However, to fully appreciate how entertaining the show is, listen with to iy with a group of people. Today at work, a great number of people in our section of a massive office were listening to the show on personal stereos. Those listening were spread out of a great distance, perhap 100 metres or so. When the big hamburger edit thing and the eating animals topic was being broadcast the sycronized laughter and all knowing aknowledgment between those listening was quite a sight to see. Then those who were not listening looked bafflingly on, as we giggled like schoolgirls. They were intrigued by our amusement.
'Radio 1-Chris Moyles' was the response
Feeling left out, others begun using their personal stereos hoping to be involved in this exclusive clique. The laughter intensified as more tuned in, people started nodding and winking to people they hardly knew in other teams. It was a rather odd and surreal situation but made my enjoyment of the show much greater.
