Don't see police around here that often, but thats probably because I live in an area I'm too scared to venture out in.

totally agree bridgie mate, in MK there are a lot of them around at night, especially on a weekend, and yes we get riot vans too.

I hate coppers, they didnt get called "the filth" for nothing. most of them think they are above the law and can get away with anything.

yeah, fair enough, but london is a big city. go to liverpool or somewhere and you will get the same. the trick is to look like you know where you are and what you're doing even if you actually dont

I agree too, in Mk there is an estate called Netherfield which is ok but not pleasant and on weekdays they cover each of the exits just to pull up cars who for example have one break light, and point a hair dryer at cars who go quite fast. But i never see beat bobbies who just walk the streets looking for street cime and basically keeping the streets clean. If i pick up the paper i read about muggings. Fairplay Mk is knowhere near as bad as my fist home in Tottenham but there were always police men walking around the parks and the streets that were notorious for crime.

Yeah, low-lives. most of them are thick too. all too often you see chief constables or whatever making appeals on TV telling people to come forward and hand themselves in. i wonder how many people actually see that and think "oh shit, what have i done, id better go see that copper about it." not bloody many.

netherfield used to be worse a few years ago. all the buses go through there, 'cos no ones got a car.

I live in the north of Wolverhampton (the scummy area) and the crime figures round here genuinelly scare me. The worst by far is Low Hill, closley followed by Pendeford where my school is. Now guess who's estate is slap bang in the middle? And people wonder why I don't want to stop at home for university.

Here in Bosworth we don't get many police officers about. My brother has to appear in court in Feburary for assault of a police officer. A long story, but it all boils down to the fact that he didn't believe he was really a policeman.

thats another thing. "assault of a police officer." great, so you do more bird if you assault a cozzer, as opposed to joe d*ckhead off the street, why? its all a load of bollocks really

soem bullsh*t about it being that the police force work for HRH and you must respect their authoritaaah and they are doing people a service and as such, assaulting an officer may put other peoples live in danger as the officer may need to do other duties which don't involve having a ruck with a pedestrian. its a bit like wasting police time with prank calls in the sense that your wasting their time

The police where I live really are a waste of time. They have to put a little board up outside the station saying its open. How stupid is that?

That's what it's like here. In fact the police station is hardly ever open, I think it's open for about an hour on a Friday afternoon.
