watch bowling for columbine if you can - its not on everywhere - excellent film, possibly the best of 2002. very funny, thought provoking etc. - his persuit of charlton heston and interviews with various people with a grey matter defecit (police officers, friends of timothy mcvey) are tres amusant.

btw - avoid 8 mile, tis very rubbish

whenever ive seen michael moore i liked him but never found him funny. bit like rory bremner only less patronising....

Stupid White Men is a very funny, but very frightening book.

I got into Mr Moore when he was on BBC2 with TV Nation which launched Louis Theroux of all people. Given his current popularity I dont know why BBC2 (or at least BBC Choice) dont repeat it.

I find that he has a very eye-opening effect on people here in the states. I read about three-quarters of his book last year but never did get to finish it.

Last month I saw his new movie, Bowling of Columbine, and it is indeed very brilliant. He presents great ideas mixed with lots of wit and humour.

michael moore has been around for quite a while. bowling for columbine was a good film, but i think that michael moore is becoming a cliche of himself, almost like chomsky. he is another symbol of the innefectiveness of the radical left, which allows people like bush to be in power.
