If you get the chance whilst out drinking this weekend, take the opportunity to feel someone's coccyx whilst they are standing at the bar.The Coccyx is one of the most fascinating bones in the human body.It is an evolutionary echo of our prehistoric ancestors, and in fact is the last remnant of a tail!
You will find the coccyx at the base of the spinal column, just at the top of the bottom crevice.(Do not go any further than this as it is not strictly legal).Whilst surrounded by inert 'extinct' muscle tissue, the coccyx can be 'trained' to wag! Firstly clench the buttock cheeks tightly as though one was attempting to restrain a smell. Then bend over at the waist and imagine one is chewing a Blackjack (Or a toffo). Then relax before pushing outwards with the bottom muscles as though 'easing one out'- you may feel the coccyx begin to 'wag' independently of any conscious effort. It doesn't always work, but when it does it makes a superb party piece.I once performed it at a party given by Michael Barrymore- but I must have overdone it because I passed out and awoke with a very sore bottom indeed.
